The ASRC team first approached Thirst for assistance with the design and development of a new donation page form in the lead up to their fundraising event.


We are proud to have assisted The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) in obtaining over $300k in donations for the 2017 ASRC Telethon on World Refugee Day. With the design of a new donation page, our team was able to streamline the donation process, improve the collection of donor contact information for future use and ensure that the donation form was accessible across multiple devices.

The goal

ASRC were in need of a responsive donation form that would integrate seamlessly on their website and appeal to existing visual language.

The design of the new donation page needed to match the look and feel of the current ASRC website and offer a user friendly experience for all, while simultaneously collecting important data from donors.

Our team executed a tailored digital strategy.

Our team was able to develop a functional, streamlined and integrated form for ASRC that was responsive to users across multiple devices and matched the goals of the donation page.

The collection of quality data from the new donation form was a highlight for ASRC as it allowed them to collect valid contact information from their generous donors. Going forward, this will ensure that the organisation can reach out to these people to thank them and invite them to donate on a more regular basis.

Dollar handles were also introduced on the ASRC donation page for the first time, and were a significant advancement in the campaign, giving donors the option of giving a specified amount (ie. $20 or $50). Following the campaign it was noted that 52% of all donors responded to the dollar handle display rather than opting to choose their own amount. Overall, more than 10,000 donations were made during ASRC’s campaign, with a 27% increase seen in regular giving compared to 2016. These are incredible achievements and figures for both ASRC and our team.

Since the creation of the donation page, we have continued to offer ASRC technical support and further assistance with EDM designs.
